Dieffenbachia ‘Tropic Rain’

The Dieffenbachia (Dieffenbachia maculata) originates from the tropical rainforests of Central and South America and is a member of the arum family (Araceae). Renowned for its decorative leaves, it stands as one of the most recognized decorative leafy plants and is commonly found as a houseplant. Depending on care factors such as pot size and location conditions, Dieffenbachias can grow anywhere from 24 inches to the height of a room. Characterized by a stocky growth, the plant has thick, short stems and large petiolate leaves that are densely arranged in an upright position. The leaves, which are a notable feature, have a decorative white or yellow-green pattern. They are ovate in shape, measure up to approximately 9.84 inches in length, and taper to a pointed end.
